Knowledge Workers and the Taboo of Stress and Depression
Gitte has been sick with stress and it took nine months to come back. It was the second time and it had to hit me hard before she took it seriously. She believes strongly in talking openly about stress and depression. It is the only way we can learn from it; the way we can make it okay to say “I need help!”.
In this talk Gitte will discuss the taboo and explore why it hits knowledge workers so often, as well as come with tips and trick to prevent it.
The talk will be in english.
Bei der Lean DUS #42 beschäftigen wir uns mit Stress in modernen Arbeitswelten. Dazu haben wir Gitte Klitgaard, Agile Coach aus Dänemark, eingeladen.
Gitte Klitgaard is quite active in the software community, speaking at and organizing (un)conferences. Her focus is on agile and she has a huge interest in the people aspects: communication, listening and creating a safe space for people to be themselves. She believes in and helps teams to find joy and purpose at work, and uses glitter and hugs to make every day a bit better.
Since 2013 Gitte has had her own company and worked across Europe as an agile coach; latest at Spotify where she finished a long assignment at the end of September.
